Background
I started building e-commerce systems in the late 1990s. In 2001, I founded the Open For Business project, which later became Apache OFBiz. I contributed the service engine, workflow engine, web controller framework, and e-commerce catalog management system. That project is still in active use at organizations worldwide.
Since then, I have designed and delivered production platforms across industries: clienteling systems for national retail brands, a mobile POS deployment for the Indianapolis 500 supporting 250+ simultaneous devices, AR-powered NFT auction platforms, and scalable microservices architectures for multi-location businesses.
Currently, I serve as CTO and CPO of POSTPALS, an AI-powered educational platform for children. I operate generative AI image pipelines using fine-tuned LoRA models, build MCP-integrated content systems, and manage production ML infrastructure on AWS under COPPA compliance constraints.
